This painting is on a 12" diameter drum, deer hide over a pine frame. I was playing around with the horse silhoutte that I made for the 'Aquarelle' series that I did, and I decided to use it to make a few 'painted ponies' on drums. A commissioned mock WWII recruitment poster, featuring Abe the squirrel, who is copyright his player. The poster is based on an actual WWII era poster, visible here: http://www.wwii-collectibles.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/uspaf221.jpg This was a lot of fun for me, because it is a very different graphic style, and it was fun to try to draw the character in the style of the time. Note also that the signature is dated '43 instead of '07 ^.^ Just for fun. Done with ink, acrylics and watercolors on 9"x12" illustration board.

well I don't really think this is very good. But I want to share it here, since I really fell in love with the rex. this picture is an illustration for my comic "AE - After Earth". The comic is about dogs, alone on a huge planet. Humans took them with them but after getting attacked by huge monsters the humans left.. And the left the dogs behind. Now they have to survive. on the picture, there's Shiro. The main character of the comic, facing a fearsome enemy. But Shiro is brave and intelligent.. and enemys that can't be defeaten by streangh will be killed with strategy. =) I really like it and the title of this. Mordecai, Serafine and Nico. I hadn't done any proper color work with this group yet, so I decided to do a little poster-style illustration involving the three of them. That's not Serafine's usual getup - I suppose she can't pass up the opportunity to get dolled up for a special occasion, though. She's dressed as her personal version of a Voodoo mambo. The image was sketched in pencil and painted with a tablet and Photoshop.

Okay, in all honesty, I don't know what to say or how to describe this. =\ I was in a strange mood when I drew the initial sketch and when it came to coloring, shading, and adding the background, it was aggravating because I had no idea where this thing was going, but I'm actually glad it's "finished." 3 days in Adobe Photoshop Elements.

Left to right Sabre, Whisper, Tundra, Tsunami, Halcyon, Shadow King Cheetah/lion thing , Cougar , Clouded Leopard , Bengal Tiger, Snow Leopard, Melanistic Jaguar Side note is, it's not as good as I want it to be, but well it'll do. I really miss spending time on art. I wish I had the time to draw and just in general illustrate. It's true that you don't realize what you have until it's gone.
